The Youth SVP site is
managed and owned by Youth SVP - part of the Society of St.
Vincent de Paul (England & Wales).
Thanks for using the
Youth SVP website (the "Website"). This page states the terms
and conditions under which you may use the Website. Please
read this page carefully. By accessing the Website you accept
and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not accept the
Terms stated here, please do not use the Website.
Youth SVP may, in its
sole discretion, modify or revise these Terms at any time by
updating this page. Users are bound by any such modifications.
In order to use certain facilities of the site a user is
required to register. During the registration process users
are required to agree to these terms. If a user does not agree
to be bound by these terms their sole recourse is not to
register.
Registration
Registration on the site is free of charge. Passwords will be
granted within 24 hours to a valid e-mail address.
To be granted access, you must be a registered member of Youth
SVP. On application, the database of members name as given to
us by Group Advisers will be checked. No notification will be
given to persons wishing to register who are not on this
database. Please see your Group Adviser to check that they
have registered you as a member on the YD16 form.
Group advisers and youth leaders known to the staff of Youth
SVP will be granted access at the discretion of the National
Youth Development Officer.
Information collection & use
Registration requires a user to provide a valid e-mail
address, name, group, postcode and a preferred username.
The e-mail address is required in order to send communications
from the website. If an incomplete, inactive or incorrect
email address is provided, we will be unable to send you a
password.
Updating & deleting info
Once set during registration, user's registered name and
e-mail address can be amended though the Youth SVP website .
Requests to remove all user data may be sent to webmaster@youthsvp.org.uk
Passwords may also be changed; user's are encouraged to change
their passwords on a regular basis.
Users may remove their registration details at any time by
request through webmaster@youthsvp.org.uk
The society reserves the right to suspend or remove a
user's registration if they break terms contained within this
document, or for any reason whatsoever.
Sharing of information
Youth SVP will not pass on a users personal
information to any third party*.
*However, we reserve the right to reveal a users identity in
order to comply with any legal obligations or to defend any
valid legal process served.
Use of Messageboards
Registered users may place new, or respond to existing
messages using the site's message board facility.
Messages are not reviewed before they are posted, and Youth
SVP disclaims any and all responsibility or liability for the
accuracy, content, completeness, legality, reliability,
operability or availability of the message content.
Youth
SVP does not endorse, support, represent or guarantee the
truthfulness, accuracy, or reliability of any information
posted by third parties, or endorse any opinions expressed by
them. You acknowledge that any reliance on material so posted
will be at your own risk.
Opinions expressed in messages are those of the message author
and not of the organisation.
The following content is not permitted to appear in any
messages posted to the message boards:

Hatred
·
Harassment
·
Personal attacks
·
Adult content or obscene material
·
Knowingly false or defamatory statements
·
Advertising for products or service outside of SVP
·
Material that infringes intellectual property or proprietary
rights of any party

or the uploading of any files without prior permission,
especially photographs of members. Requests to add content
should be made to update@svp.org.uk

Any personal information relating to members including phone
numbers and email addresses

Any link to or any images from a site containing any material
outlined in these
Youth SVP reserves the right to delete or edit any message for
any reason whatsoever. In some instances membership will be
removed or suspended and the author will be notified. The user
posting the message remains solely responsible for the content
and agrees to hold harmless Youth SVP and its officers with
respect to any claim based upon the message or its contents.
WE
EXPECT YOU TO USE CAUTION AND COMMON SENSE, AND EXERCISE GOOD
JUDGMENT WHEN USING THE MESSAGEBOARDS.
The
webmaster
reserves the right to restrict access to all or part of the
site to registered users and/or current members of Youth SVP.
Communication from the site
Upon registration a user may be contacted by Youth SVP to
highlight changes. These will be no more than one per academic
school term.
Similarly, users may subscribe to additional email
communications, such as copies of new adverts and message
board postings/polls/communications.
The
webmaster
may periodically add or remove mailing lists.
Youth
SVP warrant that the Website will operate without error or
that the Website and its server are free of computer viruses
or other harmful code. Youth SVP is not responsible for any
costs associated with servicing or replacing your equipment or
data due to your use of this Website.
Legal
Disclaimer of Damages & Limitation of Liability
Your use
of the Youth SVP website is at your own risk. If you are
dissatisfied with any of the Materials or other contents of
the Website or with these Terms and Conditions, or any of our
policies, your sole remedy is to discontinue use of the
Website.
In no event will Youth SVP be liable to any user or other
third party for any damages resulting from the use or
inability to use the Website or the materials contained
therein.
Youth SVP respects the
importance of gaining permission for images of persons
displayed on publicity materials & online. If you require a
image to be removed after permitting such use please email
Paul Lever. If you have a query regarding policy and correct
use of images please use our feedback
