why join Youth SVP?
Volunteering in a Youth SVP group will
give your more confidence, make you feel good about
yourself, improve your leadership skills and broaden your
career prospects.

You can also include this voluntary work in
your record of achievement, UCAS form or CV. If you are
involved in community schemes such as the Duke of Edinburgh
award, it will count for the 15 hours service.
There are many people in the community who
urgently need the help and support of young people like
yourselves. You can make a real difference in their lives.
Youth SVP gives you a chance to put Christianity into action.
"I get a lot of satisfaction from talking to the residents.

"Our SVP work is all about giving a Christian example, giving
of ourselves to others"
Michael Nataro, St. Joseph's Parish,
Gerrard's Cross
"I want to be a primary school teacher, so helping children
is giving me work experience already" Declan Kelly, St. Anselm's
College, Birkenhead
"I love going to the residential home because for one hour
a week I fed I am bringing a little happiness into someone
else's life"
